How often do I need to Test and Tag?

The biggest factor in repeat testing intervals is the environment of the electrical appliance!

In harsh environments such as factories , workshops etc 6 month intervals are required!

Less harsh environments where flexible cord is subject to flexing require 12 month intervals!

Where the flexible cord remains in place and has no pressure on it intervals may extend up to 5 yrs!

Residential areas such as hotels, hostels etc require intervals of 2 yrs!

Construction sites require retest intervals of 3 months!

Residual Current Devices (RCDs) require intervals of 6 months to 2 yrs! (Depending on  the environment)
